At Libby's Realty, we live here, we work here, we know our market! Originally owned by a former Marine, Libby's Realty traces its history in the 29 Palms area to 1972. Barbara Dunn, began her real estate career in 1978, and acquired the office in 1988. Recently, the company has been purchased by Reggie McAtee, with Barbara still serving as broker.

Reggie McAtee started his career in Real Estate after 10 years in Retail Grocery as an Assistant Manager. Throughout his retail career and over two decades in real estate, Reggie has learned the value of operating with the highest ethical standards. These standards combined with his strong business acumen and the result is a straight forward approach to real estate and property management. Today, Reggie is leading Libby's Realty into a new era of technology combined with superior customer service to streamline the process for all involved. Reggie is a foster parent of three and enjoys staying connected with politics and reading.

Reggie started his Real Estate Career in June 2005. Since that time he has been a Top Producing Salesperson. Key to his success has been his strong work ethic, a positive approach to often difficult situations, and always having strong ethics and integrity. In June 2019 Reggie became a Real Estate Broker.

Reggie joined the team at Libby’s Realty in August 2015. Working with the Owner/ Broker at that time, Barbara Dunn, was a really good fit. Together, Reggie and Barbara became Top Producers in the area. Whether it is a cabin or a compound, they have sold it all. In July of 2021, Reggie took over as the owner/Broker of Libby’s Realty. Barbara has continued to sell real estate as a Broker/Associate and maintain the connection to the Business she pioneered for over 30 years. Reggie grew up in rural Georgia. There he excelled in school and graduated in the top 5% of his class. After a few years of College, Reggie relocated to California in 1987. He lived in various places in the State until finding his true home in the High Desert in 1994. He has owned homes in Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, and 29 Palms. Currently, he also enjoys a little cabin in Big Bear. The hands-on experience of buying and selling homes is part of the information he enjoys sharing with others. Almost everyone struggles with escrow paperwork. Reggie is always willing to help guide his clients through the maze of documents. In his spare time, Reggie is a proud foster parent to 3 toddlers. He enjoys following politics and reading to pass time.

Barbara is a long time resident of the community, with a great knowledge of her market and market trends. She has helped hundreds of families settle in the Morongo Basin. Barbara has been actively involved in the promotion of this special community through service organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Soroptimists, Copper Mountain College Foundation, Desert Womens Foundation, JTNP Assocation, and the Board of Realtors. She has held a number of offices in these clubs including President, Vice-president, Treasurer & Secretary. She organized the 1st “Run of the Murals 5K – 10K” and CO-organized “Festival 29” for it’s first 3 years.

Barbara is married to Jeff Dunn (a 29 Palms native and former Mayor of 29 Palms). Barbara has two children, a son Jima who is a Humboldt State University graduate with a biology degree, and a daughter Jaime who is a University of San Diego graduate with a business degree. Barbara is a graduate of the University of Colorado. She is an avid outdoors person – loves exploring Joshua Tree National Park, (even tried rock climbing), running, snow skiing, boating, dune bugging—anything that will take her outside.

Johnna has recently moved to Twentynine Palms, moving here on inspiration of family visits to the Yucca Valley and love of nature in Mojave desert; starting with the purchase of her own home through Libby's Realty, with Reggie as her agent. She has worked for 15 years in the grocery business where serving the needs of customers is always the focus. Working in many departments, always figuring out the best ways to serve the public was her specialty. Concierge service and Marketing was a favorite that put her in touch with the community and solving specific issues within the stores outreach to customers.

There was an opportunity to provide Eldercare for a friend that led her to private caregiving and leaving the Grocery business. Caregiving has been the focus since 2015. Caregiving taught her a new level of listening to the needs of an individual and the family. With an instinct for looking out for the wellbeing of others, she is ready for a new transition into serving community with a career in real estate.
